Finals are over, and another year is in the books. Let's not talk about how I'll be a senior, okay? My mind is blown by how fast this year went. It's been both the most challenging and most enjoyable year so far. Between preparing for the fashion show, running for student body president, travelling to some of my favorite places (shout out to Memphis and DC!) and being a resident assistant (shout out to my RA family!), and the ever approaching After Graduation, it's been busy. Yet, I don't really know what to do if I'm not busy. So cheers to the good kind of busy: the kind where you're busy doing what you love.
I've worn this dress so many times in the past three weeks that people probably think it's the only thing I have to wear. But that's the sign of a great garment, yes? I love this dress!
The bodice is from Butterick 6168, and the skirt is my self-drafted pattern. In the future, I would probably making the bodice a little longer (it's not quite at waist level) and play around with the sleeves. They're a little restricting, so it would be worth experimenting with next time. Other than those small adjustments, this is by far my favorite thing I'm wearing right now. The fabric is crepe de chine from fabric.com.
FLAMINGOS!!! That is all.
